A tool your staff can try first

Choose what
gets hidden.

When a student wants to see less of an upsetting topic, MuteThis can cover matching content while they browse. Try it on a staff computer before deciding whether it is suitable for your students.

For school counselors, teachers and student-support teams.

Topic rules can hide text and still images. Word and phrase rules hide matching text. You choose which websites to use them on.

THE DAILY EDIT
A quiet path through a green woodland

A slower way to spend Sunday

A simple walk can change the tone of your whole day. Without a schedule or a specific goal, it gives you space to notice what’s around you.

It’s an easy way to be more present, right where you are. A different route, a new street, or even a familiar trail can make the ordinary feel a little more interesting.

How MuteThis works
Can it stop cyberbullying?

No. MuteThis may cover content that matches a chosen rule, but it can miss things. It does not stop someone from sending harmful messages. Keep reporting tools, evidence preservation and support from school staff in place.

Where does it work?

It works on supported text and still images on websites you choose in desktop Chrome. It does not cover every website, video or app. AI can miss unwanted content or hide something you wanted to see.

Is my browsing content sent to AI?

For topic rules, selected page text, images and your rules are sent through MuteThis to the chosen AI provider. That can include private content on signed-in pages. Word and phrase rules check text on your device without sending it for AI review.

What else should I check?

MuteThis does not monitor students or lock their settings. It does not include a system for managing every school device.

Topic rules need a connected account and available AI checks. Word and phrase rules work on text without AI checks. MuteThis starts paused after installation; turn it on when you are ready.
